Courvillage Honeymoon - Part 1 // Cathedral Rock

And here we go!

Part 1 of our honeymoon to Arizona! We flew out of the Charlotte Douglas Airport on Monday morning [we married on Sunday]. We had a quick layover in Phoenix before our last [and very fast] flight to Flagstaff, Arizona. The weather was beautiful for flying! However, American Airlines does not give snacks during their 5 hour flights [American is the only airline that flies through Flagstaff]. Naturally, we were pretty hungry and recommend that you bring snacks on these flights.

Courvillage Honeymoon - Introduced

We are married! March 20, 2016, was a very special day, and one that we will never forget. We continually praise God for His goodness, and we are eager to share wedding planning tips and shortcuts.

For those of you who don't know me, I'm Jennifer - Jon's WIFE! I'll be taking over the blog every now and then to post some photos or information that you will all find interesting and helpful. Our first big project as husband and wife is to blog our honeymoon! Keep reading to see what we will be blogging and why you'll want to follow along on our Courvillage Honeymoon recap:

An Open Letter From Your Wife of 18 Days

Jon. Being married to you has been the most wonderful gift that God has given me. Through you, God has answered an abundance of my prayers. In our personal vows to each other a couple of weeks ago, I shared who God has made you to be. Because remembering them is important, I wanted to re-share them here for all to see as we celebrate you today on your birthday.

Golden Hour Baby Announcement // Justin+Christa

My Fiancé, Jennifer, and I had the pleasure of doing a photo shoot for some of our wonderful friends, Justin and Christa. They scheduled the photo shoot without us knowing the real reason for it. "Just because" photo shoots are wonderful for couples to document their love, but there was more going on...

A few days before the shoot, Christa told us what they had up their sleeve. The plan was to use the photos for a birth announcement! We loved every moment of our time together, and we couldn't be happier with how they turned out!

Autumn Family Portraits // Smith Family

The Smith family are one of my favorites to photograph! Their enthusiasm, joy, and energy is contagious. We had a lovely afternoon for a session, near Waxhaw, NC.  I love doing multiple photoshoots for the same family, getting to see the kids grow up and being able to capture that is just another reason why I love being a photographer. Try and not smile while you take a look at some of my top pics from their shoot.

A Blue and Pink Charlotte Wedding // Joe+Jenna

A celebration like this is what makes me so thrilled to be a wedding photographer. Joe and Jenna became immediate friends, and we are beyond grateful to be a part of their love story.

When Jennifer and I met Joe and Jenna at a local Starbucks here in Charlotte, I knew that capturing their wedding would be a joy. And it was! Between meeting them and shooting their wedding, they both visited our church, became members, and became our friends.

This Charlotte wedding was brimming over with joy and excitement! They patiently waited for each other as God was writing His beautiful story for the both of them. Their wedding was held in the lobby of Carmel Baptist Church and decorated with pink hydrandeas and soft teal colors.

Charlotte Photography Workshop // Recap!

The second photography workshop is complete! With two in attendance [meet Alina and Renee], it gave us more time to spend with them individually and to directly address their questions and to strengthen their weaknesses. We covered an abundance of material, learned a lot, and stretched ourselves to become better at the art of photography - not to mention making new friends!

An Outdoor Wooded Wedding // Aaron+Hanna

Andrew Jackson State Park can be the perfect place for an outdoor wedding, and that's how it was, simply lovely. Aaron and Hanna were such a joy to capture throughout the day, from the prep to first look, to a wonderful ceremony and reception, capped off with stunning sunset shots on the lake. So thankful to have my girlfriend with me to second shoot the celebration, we had a blast, Aaron and Hanna!

Springfield, MO, Wedding // Dan+Katie

What a privilege to be the photographer for Dan and Katie's wedding in Springfield, Missouri! The whole day was lovely, even when the storm rolled in, and caused a premature ending to the reception, it just couldn't dampen the joy spirits of all who were a part and attended. Here are some of my favorite moments from their special day.

Dan and Katie were absolute troopers while taking amazing portraits in the rain. Make sure you see ALL the photos at the end!

Summer in the USA

Jon asked me to guest post today, and I happily agreed! For those of you who might not know me, I'm Jennifer - Jon's assistant and best friend. :)

Last year, Jon and I took my sister, Marianna, to an open field close to Wesley Chapel and took some patriotic photos. We had such a grand time, and we came out with some amazing images. This year, we wanted to go back to the same spot. However, two things were different...
