Charlotte, NC, Engagement // Eric+Mindy

We are so excited to share the engagement photos of this sweet couple! Jon grew up with Mindy's family in Missouri, so it was definitely very special for us to be a part of this fun time in their lives. Eric lives about 1.5 hours from us, close to the mountains. Mindy often braved the long drive to visit Eric [it took us 18 hours to get home from MO a few weeks ago, but it really should be more like 12 or 13...] while Eric periodically flew to see her and her family. Here is a little bit on how they met!

Charleston Adventures on a Budget

Charleston and our detours on the way were so pretty we just had to share out photos and tell about our first weekend trip as a married couple! First off, we highly recommend that newly married couples get away for a weekend. So refreshing and fun. And stay within your budget. We've included some tips on how we saved on costs, and we hope you find them helpful!

Marianna, 13 Years Old // Portraits

Meet Marianna! She is the 5th of 6 children in my family. Marianna has been my good friend ever since she was born - actually, even before birth - more like when we found out Mom was pregnant. I had a special attachment with Marianna from the very beginning. So many prayers were prayed on her behalf. I was probably more cautious and paranoid than my mom!

Jon & Jennifer // WEDDING PHOTOS! // Part 2

And here is Part 2 of our wedding photos by Erica Serrano Photography!

It was around 53 degrees that day, and the entire week before had been in the 80's. We'd prefer cooler over super hot, but we definitely expected to have warmer weather on our wedding day! Praise the Lord - it didn't rain until after we left the reception!

During the Ceremony, we girls were shaking from shivers. I could hear my sisters behind me shivering and trying not to laugh! You know how your breathing changes to rapid, shaking breaths when you're really cold?

Jon & Jennifer // WEDDING PHOTOS! // Part 1

We are SO excited to share OUR VERY OWN wedding photos with you all! Erica Berry [Erica Serrano Photography] was our fabulous photographer. We haven't posted our engagement photos, but maybe we'll do that later. :) We decided to break it up into two parts since we want to share so many images with you! This post will include photos all the way to the end of the Ceremony. Part 2 will include the portraits, and the reception!

Courvillage Honeymoon - Part 4 // West Fork Trail, An Injury, & A Helicopter Ride

Friday on our honeymoon! We expected this day to be a bit more leisurely as we planned a much easier hike than Cathedral Rock. This hike is about 20 minutes or so outside of Sedona, Arizona. Driving on 89A [goes from Flagstaff to Sedona], you'll be sure to see some spectacular views. Big cliffs, red rocks, monstrous trees, curving roads, cacti, and running water paint such a beautiful part of Arizona.

The Dairy Barn, Fort Mill, SC, Engagement // William+Lauren

William and Lauren were such FUN! This engagement shoot included an abundance of laughter, adventure, crazy horses [see below for proof!], and sweet moments. The weather at The Dairy Barn was absolutely perfect. Lauren did a fabulous job in selecting outfits that popped, as well as bringing some fun props. We have so enjoyed getting to know this couple and have included their story below so you can get to know them as well! Hint: it's hilarious.

Alex + Amanda // Married

In the yard of her grandparent's historic home in Gretna, Virginia, Amanda married her best friend. The weather couldn't have been more perfect, and the wedding weekend was full of good food, lots of friends and family, and much celebration!

In fact, Amanda's family own TWO farms. The rehearsal dinner was held at the other farm, and the wedding and reception was held at the one pictured below.

Alex and Amanda met in Georgia on a bus to and from Georgia Tech during their undergrad days. From that first meeting, their lives have been forever changed! They split up for a short while after she transferred to Clemson; however, they soon reconnected in grad school - Alex at Georgia Tech, and Amanda at Clemson University. The toasts given by Alex's brother and Amanda's sister were definitely from the heart and sincerely a joy to listen to.

Enjoy this blue and white destination farm wedding!

Courvillage Honeymoon - Part 2 // Grand Canyon

Wednesday.

We got up early, packed a lunch, and hit the road to visit the Grand Canyon! From Sedona, we drove through Flagstaff [which is about halfway]. We stopped off in a couples stores looking for a down jacket for Jennifer since it was pretty chilly and windy. We finally found one of clearance at an outdoor store!

For the last hour of driving, we drove through a lot of Indian reservations.

Wooded Bridal Session // Amanda

Amanda was such a calm Bride. With traffic delays and timing issues, we had 20 minutes left for this shoot. She hopped out of their SUV and joyfully began taking her bridal photos. No stress, so agitation. And we all know what traffic can do to a person! We were thoroughly impressed and enjoyed every moment of this shoot! Not to mention that we got some killer photos!

We chose the Monroe corporate center drive for the location. There's plenty of tall grass, trees, and beautiful light.

Amanda, you were stunning.
